Scotch-A-Roos

  • 1 cup light Karo Syrup
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Peanut Butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies

Frosting

  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Butterscotch Chips

[Note: Make the frosting at the same time you're making the cereal base... it's a little tricky, but the result is better if the frosting is added while the cereal base is still warm.]

In a large pot, mix together the Karo Syrup and Sugar. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly.

Add the Peanut Butter and the Rice Krispies, and mix until all the cereal is coated.

Pour mixture into a buttered 13" x 9" pan, and spread evenly.

Melt the Chocolate and the Butterscotch Chips in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently.

Spread the frosting evenly over the cereal base. Cut while warm.
