Perfect Rice
- 1 cup White Rice
- 1 pat of Butter
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cups Water
Found this recipe in a Chinese cookbook that was written by a Jewish author! It's works every time, and comes out just like the restaurant version.
Add all ingredients to a large saucepan. Cook over High heat until it barely comes to a boil, then cover and cook over Low heat for 25 minutes. Do not uncover during cooking.
Remove from heat and set aside for 20 minutes. Do not uncover until serving time.
Fluff with a fork, and transfer to serving bowl. Or, get fancy and form into balls with an Ice Cream Scoop so it looks like the restaurant version.
