Puppy Chow
- 9 cups Chex cereal
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
- 1/2 stick Butter or Margarine
- 1 Tsp. Vanilla
- 1-1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
Place the Cereal in a large bowl (bigger is better!) and set aside.
In a small pan over low heat, melt the Chips, Peanut Butter & Margarine. Remove from heat when melted; stir in the Vanilla.
Pour the mixture over the Cereal, and stir until all pieces are evenly coated.
Place the coated Cereal and the Powdered Sugar in a large grocery bag, and shake until all the pieces are well coated. Warning: make sure you have a bag with NO holes in it. Fold the top over several times to seal before shaking.
Spread the mixture on waxed paper to cool. When cool, store in an airtight container.
FOR MICROWAVERS:
Put the Chocolate Chips and Peanut Butter in a micro-safe dish and cook for 1 minute 35 seconds on high. Add Margarine and cook 40 more seconds on high. Add Vanilla and stir thoroughly.
