Carol's Amazing Cranberries

  • 1 lb. whole Cranberries - washed
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Grand Marnier (or other orange liquor)
  • 1 large Orange
  • 1/2 Lemon - juiced

Mix Water and Sugar and boil for 5 minutes.

Add Cranberries and continue cooking for 5 more minutes until berries pop.

Chill until almost jelled - 10 minutes or so.

Finely grate the rind of the Orange (just the orange part, none of the white underlayer.)

Add Grand Marnier, orange zest, lemon juice and stir gently.

Store in a large jar (32 oz..) Chill until serving.

When served, watch folks say "WOW!"
